Eric Madia

Eric Madia is a Health and Performance Coach at PHP. Eric focuses on creating holistic, individualized training programs for the athletes and clients at PHP and subsequently coaches each person by demonstrating the exercises through effective audio/visual cues. Eric takes pride in coaching people not only on their strength and conditioning but also on the other components of holistic health and performance which are mindset, breathing, sleeping, hydration, nutrition. Through this approach, Eric intends to inspire, guide, and empower adults and youth athletes to sustainably create their best health, physical body, and performance.

Growing up, Eric played multiple sports including: Hockey, Soccer, Rugby, Baseball, Rowing, Volleyball, and Lacrosse. Originally, Eric went to college with the intention of going into acting or directing. Eric would eventually go back to school to study Exercise Science. After starting his journey at The University at Buffalo, where he played collegiate Rugby, Eric would transfer to D’Youville College and finish his bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Studies in 2 years. Eric then went on to complete his master’s degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with a dual concentration in Performance Enhancement/Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Science through California University of Pennsylvania.

Eric has experience working with high level athletes of all ages, especially hockey players, as well as helping adults of all ages acheive various goals such as losing 15-40+ pounds, improving their strength and conditioning, eliminating joint pain, and buiding proper health and nutrition habits.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from D’Youville College
  • CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) through the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association)
  • PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist) through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • FRCms (Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist) though FAS (Functional Anatomy Seminars)
